Submission of assessment items
Extensions & Late submissions
For clarification, one (1) minute past the specified due date and time is considered a late submission.
It is students' responsibility to be familiar with the electronic submission process (eg. the use of UClearn). Students are reminded to ensure they plan well ahead by enabling adequate time to submit assessments prior to the deadline, in order to avoid a mark adjustment. If you are concerned about the stability and reliability of your internet connection, it is recommended you use a student computer in the library when completing quizzes.
Online Quizzes
Students who do not attempt a quiz by the due date will forfeit any marks and receive zero for that quiz. Any quizzes in progress at the due time will be automatically submitted. Students should ensure they begin their quiz attempt with sufficient time to complete it prior to the due time.

Special assessment requirements
In order to receive a passing grade students must achieve the following:

Participation requirements
Attendance at lectures and tutorials is strongly recommended.
Tutorials
Tutorials run most weeks, so please check the weekly pattern on your timetable. Please attend your allocated time to ensure that students are able to receive an appropriate amount of interaction with the tutor. The tutorial notes will contain the activities that will be conducted in class, as well as some self-directed learning activities and formative assessment (e.g. check your knowledge). The goal of the tutorial is to extend your thinking and move to application and critical analysis of content as well as provide an introduction into assessment of movement used for later units.
To participate in practical labs, you will be required to be dressed for physical activity (i.e. shorts and T-shirt) and have enclosed footwear which is suitable for physical activity (i.e. runners or court shoes). Other required materials may include a towel and water bottle. Prior to participating in practical lab activities, you will need to complete an Adult Pre-Exercise Screening form and provided written Informed Consent.
The tutorials will not be recorded and it is the students responsibility to catch up on any missed work from non-attendance.
Required IT skills
It is expected that students will possess UC IT entry skills, allowing them to access the unit's Canvas site.
As part of Assignment 1 students will need to create an Infographic. There are a range of online tools and templates (e.g. canva.com) as well as software (e.g. PowerPoint or Publisher) which can be used to create the Infographic. There are also many GenerativeAI tools which students may make use of to generate images for their infographic. There is no requirement to purchase software or tools to complete this assignment.

Where possible, students with general questions about unit content and assessment should use the discussion forums within UCLearn. Please do not ask for assignment extensions or post specific questions about quiz content in forums.
Students using the UCLearn discussion forums should expect a reply or confirmation from the unit convenor within 1-2 business days.
