Welcome to UC! Our orientation program is your introduction to university life, designed to prepare you for success on your student journey. We look forward to having you join our community.
Orientation (O-Week) is a chance for all students to join events and workshops to help welcome you to UC and make some new friends. There are also faculty specific sessions to learn about your course and meet fellow students studying in similar areas to you.
Check back here for more information on our next O-Week.
We’re here to help you get started at UC. Log into your myUC account and explore your orientation checklist to make sure you’re set up and ready to go.
Preparation is key to success at university, so we’ve put together a suite of resources to help you transition to study. These include information on study support, being part of a safe and respectful community, and what to expect at university.
UC runs orientation sessions across Australia and internationally. Details will be sent to your university student email, but in the meantime you can search for an orientation session near you by browsing the options below.
Orientation sessions will be available in both in-person and virtual formats so you can choose the one that best suits your preferences. These sessions will be covering essential topics such as course progression and academic writing.

University is about so much more than what you learn in the classroom. It's a chance to explore your interests, meet new people and share experiences by joining a club, society or sports team. Best of all, we're here to support you every step of the way.
Starting university for the first time is a major change for all new students. If you’re struggling socially or emotionally, UC’s Student Wellbeing team can help. They provide confidential advice, referrals and support with any challenge or concern that you may face.
Do you have an ongoing health condition or disability that impacts on your ability to access education or effects your academic performance? The Inclusion UC team provide a range of supports and adjustments to assist you on your university journey. All contact with Inclusion UC is confidential.
UC works hard to enrich university life for students both on and off campus by organising live music and events, sports programs, food and drink outlets, the on-campus Sport and Fitness Centre, shops and more.
Located in Bruce and surrounded by bushland, our campus is filled with vibrant, comfortable and technology-enabled spaces for you to enjoy while learning, studying and socialising with friends.
We’re here to help make your transition to university as smooth as possible and help you on your student journey. Reach out to us for all your orientation questions, or throughout the year for anything you need.
